Of the bold & the bubbly pink

Lets get over the misconception that pinks and peaches can't make a bold statement on the eyes. When worked with in the right way, they can really make your eyes stand out! Here's how.

Step 1: Apply a wash of champagne coloured shadow all over the eyelid, up to the brow bone.

Step 2: Take a soft pink or peach and apply it on the socket area. The color of choice can be matte or shimmery, both will work fine.

Step 3: Now using the little surgical trick, place the tape from the outer corner of the eye to the edge of the eyebrow. Next, taking a bronzy gold shade, apply it on the outer corner, extending into the crease area. You can add black shadow on the brush while picking the bronze for an intenser color. Be sure to blend well.

Step 4: Tap a shimmery gold shadow on the centre portion of the lid over the area where pink was previously used.
Now, taking an eyeliner formula (gel, liquid, cake) of your choice in black, trace it along the lash line starting from a little beyond the tear duct and extending all the way out into the wing.
Taking a kohl pencil, line the waterline and thicken the line towards the inner corner, joining it with the eyeliner.
(If using a liquid, gel or pencil liner scares you, simply use a black eyeshadow on an angled brush.)

Step 5: Remove the surgical tape. Blend away any visibly harsh lines.

Step 6: Curl the lashes and apply loads of mascara for added drama.

Though this look takes a little more work and patience, the end result is always worth the effort. Match your blush a lip color to the pink or peach you use on the lid.

Do let us know if you guys want us to do a video tutorial on this look or any other looks up on the blog! We'd be happy to oblige!
